Blenheim Chalcot, the UK’s largest digital venture builder and Imperial College London, one of the highest-ranking universities globally, appointed Kallaway to position and launch Scale Space on Imperial’s White City Campus.
More than just a 200,000 sqft of office and lab space, Scale Space is an entirely new concept that brings together Blenheim Chalcot’s venture building expertise together with world leading universities to help scaling businesses grow faster and stronger by connecting them with the right people, services, space and resources when they need it most.
The challenge – in addition to launching during the pandemic - was to position Scale Space as the natural home for innovative technology, life science and digital businesses, over and above London’s existing tech and bio-science hubs.
To do this, we created Grow with Scale Space, a cross channel campaign that positioned Scale Space as the obvious choice for scale ups focused on long term success and highlighted how the new growth methodology being pioneered in Scale Space would directly support their growing businesses.
We reached key decision makers in Scale Space’s target businesses via targeted content and marketing activity including thought leadership, blogs, media relations, events and partnerships – all of which was coordinated with and supported sales and leasing activity.
We also led the stakeholder engagement programme for Scale Space, winning high profile support from Rajesh Agrawal, Deputy Mayor of London for Business; Paul Scully, Minister for Small Businesses and Andy Slaughter, MP for Hammersmith as well as key organisations such as TechNation, Hammersmith and Fulham Borough Council and the Scaleup Institute.
Despite launching during the pandemic, Scale Space was fully let within its first year.
