The Crown Estate - My Wild Winter

The Crown Estate wanted to deliver winter events at five of its retail parks that would drive footfall but also benefit the local environment.

We created My Wild Winter, a series of regionally specific events run in partnership with charity The Wildlife Trusts to help people better support their local wildlife during the winter.

Ice sculpting lessons and wildlife characters added to the on park excitement and 2,202 people took part in the events, 89% of these visited specifically for the event and 92% reported that the event increased their understanding about how to care for wildlife.  Messages about My Wild Winter reached 6.2m through our press and social media campaign.

We got retailers involved via in store promotions and activities and 52% reported an increase in footfall. Debbie Byrne, Manager, New Look, MK1 Shopping & Leisure Park, summed up My Wild Winter:  “It was a great idea and it brought extra footfall to the park – everyone was talking about it!”
